The Public Council at the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine is an interim advisory and consultative body established to promote public participation in the preparation of proposals to ensure the formation and implementation of state policy in the field of forestry and hunting.

The main tasks of the Public Council at the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine are:

• Assistance to the implementation by citizens of the constitutional right to participate in the management of state affairs on the issues of forestry and hunting, the use, protection, conservation, and reproduction of forest and hunting resources based on sustainable development, conservation of biodiversity in the forests;
• The implementation of public control over the activities of the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine;
• To assist the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine to take into account public opinion in the preparation of proposals to ensure the formation and implementation of state policy in the sphere of forestry and hunting.
