The average area per fire increased by 7 times.

There have been 11 hectares of wildfires.

"Unfortunately, a big problem is still the burning of dead wood by the population on fields and homestead plots. These actions are a crime against common sense. Stop and do not burn dry grass!" - Yuriy Bolokhovets, the head of the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine, said.

In addition, fires occur as a result of enemy shelling (both from the ground and from the sea) and because of subversive activities (Mykolayiv, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk and Odessa regions).

Fighting, unexploded ammunition and mined forest areas make extinguishing forest fires in these areas more difficult.
