This year's first meeting of the enlarged collegium of the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine has been held.

The Head of the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine Yuriy Bolokhovets reported on the main directions and tasks of the branch in 2022.

"One of the strategic directions is the possible transition to the National Company. This step will not lead to privatization of forests. It is 100% state ownership. Among the advantages is the ability to make effective financial and economic decisions, attracting investment".

According to the Head of the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine, the experience of foresters in Latvia, Poland and Germany was studied in detail. There, forest management is carried out by national companies.

As for current issues, the clear priority this year is to implement the President's program "Green Country". About 300 million tree plants are planned to be planted in 2022.
