There was a meeting with representatives of the State joint-stock company Latvian State Forests (LVM): Edvins Zakovics, member of the board of LVM, and Guntis Grandāns, director of LVM Forestry Department.

Vitaly Pun, First Deputy Head of the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine, Igor Budzinskiy, Head of the department of forestry and forest restoration, Lyubov Polyakova, Head of the sector of international relations, science, and public relations  took part in the discussion.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss possible cooperation in the field of cultivation of planting material with a closed root system. Colleagues got acquainted with the peculiarities of forestry in Ukraine and, in turn, told about forest growing in Latvia.

Among the promising areas of cooperation are also highlighted consultations on the development of an effective model of industry management and the development of IT-technology. During the meeting, both sides expressed their willingness to develop further fruitful cooperation in the framework of the signed Memorandum of Cooperation between the departments.
