Today, the Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine Roman Shakhmatenko, Chairman of the Environmental Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Oleg Bondarenko, people' Deputy of Ukraine Olga Vasilevskaya-Smaglyuk and Head of the State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine Yuri Bolokhovets presented about 100 units of new forestry machinery to protect forests from fires and poachers.

Fire protection is under constant control of the State level. In accordance with the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine purchased:

9 fire observation masts;

9 television observation systems;

20 high cross-country vehicles for movement of fire brigades.

In addition, purchased:

37 specialized vehicles;

27 thermalvision cameras;

24 quad bikes;

1 patrol boat;

1 quadcopter with a thermal vision camera.

"The machinery, which will be used to combat poachers, was purchased for the money received for the permits from the users of hunting grounds," said the head of State Forest Resources Agency of Ukraine Yuri Bolokhovets.
